Hope you all have been good and I certainly hope your week as gone better than mine has. I hate public transit, it sucks and the bus drivers (at least here at NJ) need to be replaced with people that have brains in their head. Gods help me, the second I get a car, I'm boycotting public transit.
Anywho, for those of you who may not know, November is National Novel Writing Month, otherwise known as NaNoWriMo. Due to being extremely stressed out because of my current moronic job and other things, I wasn't able to participate last year like I had planned. This year, I intend to remedy that. For all of November, I will try and little to no contact with the outside world in real life (except for that damned job of mine, but my hours are shorter than the gods) and will probably only interact with people on the net while I'm writing.
As I said, I intend to avoid getting that stressed out again.
Of course this all leads to the question of which story idea should I use for this year? I have a couple floating around in my head, but it's deciding on one that's the hard part. So I thought I would ask the opinion of you, the people, and see what the majority likes best. Also, keep in mind, NaNoWriMo is about winging it (no editing until after youre done), so nothing too epic may come out of this (as much as I would like it to). All I need is an honest opinion about which story idea sounds less sucky.
1. For centuries there has been a war between vampires and witches waged in the shadows of the human world. Neither side has shown sides of winning, but both are equally determined for victory. A prophecy was made that a Daughter of the Moon would help decide the victory for the witches and that a Daughter of the Sun would decide victory for the vampires. Enter Thalia, a teenager constantly on the run, getting by on pick pocketed money and a handy ability to hypnotize people.
2. Dr. Grant Williams was the one human who posed the most threat to the supernatural community until a few years ago. In one day, he went from being the most respected scientific researcher known to the world to being the most humiliated one. The night before his was to reveal his findings to the world on national television; all evidence of his research has been completely destroyed. All, except for one little USB port which rests in the hands of Thistle Marie Kennsington, a sixteen year old who has her own reasons to hate Dr. Williams.
I know the summaries are kinda lame, but as I said, for NaNoWriMo, you usually just wing it and try not to put too much thought into what you write, the editing of this usually comes later. Plus I don't want to say one thing and end up writing anther, so I tried to keep the descriptions vague. So please tell me which one you like better before Nov. 1 and which ever gets the most votes will be the one I do for this year's NaNoWriMo.
